As the first Round of 16 matches in the Grand Slam of Darts were decided in Wolverhampton, Rob Cross displayed great form. Cross, who is the highest-ranked player remaining in the tournament, had no trouble defeating Ritchie Edhouse.

Danny Noppert – Mickey Mansell 7-10

In the first Round of 16 match, Danny Noppert started brilliantly against Mickey Mansell, quickly going up 2-0, but suddenly, the match took a turn that few had predicted.

The Northern Irishman Mansell completely took control, winning six legs in a row against an increasingly demoralized Danny Noppert. Noppert never gave up, but the deficit proved too big to overcome, and Mickey Mansell closed out the match.

James Wade – Cameron Menzies 9-10

After an even start, James Wade managed to capitalize on his chances best in the middle of the match. Wade, who has been finding his scoring touch in recent months, remained as composed as ever, while Menzies’ body language looked increasingly resigned. However, Menzies fought back in the critical stage of the match and broke Wade’s lead, forcing a decider in the final leg where Menzies had the advantage of starting. After missing two match darts, Menzies finally closed it out with a double top, and an emotional Cameron Menzies was interviewed on stage.

Martin Lukeman – Ross Smith 10-5

A disappointed Ross Smith lost his Round of 16 match to Martin Lukeman. Smith never reached his top level, while Lukeman was on fire with his doubles. At 8-5 to Lukeman, Ross Smith missed three consecutive darts to win a leg, allowing Lukeman to break and comfortably serve out the match.

Ritchie Edhouse – Rob Cross 4-10

Despite Ritchie Edhouse hitting eight 180s in the match, he was never close to winning. Rob Cross couldn’t miss on his doubles, ultimately hitting 10 doubles in 12 attempts!

On Thursday, November 14, the Round of 16 matches continues with the following games:

Jermaine Wattimena – Dimitri Van den Bergh
Gian van Veen – Ryan Joyce
Luke Littler – Mike De Decker
Gary Anderson – Stephen Bunting
