The 2024 World Grand Prix has reached its final after Luke Humphries and Mike De Decker won their respective semifinals. Mike De Decker continues to make a surprising run through the tournament. At the same time, Humphries demonstrated a level of performance in his semifinal, confirming why he is currently ranked as the world’s best darts player.

Mike De Decker vs Dimitri van den Bergh

Mike De Decker has qualified for his first-ever major final after defeating compatriot Dimitri van den Bergh 5-2 in the semifinal. It was a historic night for Belgium, as it was the first time two Belgians faced each other in a PDC major semifinal. The match was largely decided on opening doubles, where Van den Bergh struggled, while De Decker was more efficient. Despite Van den Bergh taking the first set, De Decker turned it around and won three of the next four sets. This victory means that De Decker, ranked 36th in the world, now has the chance to win his first-ever PDC title.

Luke Humphries vs Ryan Joyce

Luke Humphries crushed Ryan Joyce in their semifinal, with the world number one throwing phenomenal darts from start to finish. Humphries averaged 100.30 and hit 60 percent of his finishing doubles. In addition, he threw eight 180s and had an opening double success rate of 47 percent. These numbers were beyond what Ryan Joyce could keep up with, and as a result, Humphries lost only three legs in the match, winning 5-0 in sets. The victory allows Humphries to defend his Grand Prix title as he once again steps onto the stage to play in a major PDC final. If Humphries manages to defend the title, he will become only the third player ever to win the World Grand Prix two years in a row, with only Michael van Gerwen and Phil Taylor having accomplished this feat before.

The final will be played as a best of 7 sets.
